Families are also invited to attend special afternoon outdoor screenings, offering films for audiences of all ages.
Sunday 10 August at 16:00 – Priory Park – TOP GUN (12A)
I feel the need. The need for… well… ‘Top Gun’ under the stars at Priory Park. One of the seminal 1980’s films, it has achieved cinematic cult status and is infinitely rewatchable.
The Top Gun Naval Fighter Weapons School is where the best of the best train to refine their elite flying skills. When hotshot fighter pilot Maverick (Tom Cruise) is sent to the school, his reckless attitude and cocky demeanour put him at odds with the other pilots, especially the cool and collected Iceman (Val Kilmer). But Maverick isn’t only competing to be the top fighter pilot, he is also fighting for the attention of his beautiful flight instructor, Charlotte Blackwood (Kelly McGillis). This film has defined the modern day action blockbuster.
Screenings take place at Chichester’s beautiful Priory Park as part of the prestigious Chichester International Film Festival. Bring a picnic blanket or chair, and a picnic basket filled with your favourite goodies. Drinks and snacks available
