West Horsley Place – Summer Open Day (adult ticket)

West Horsley Place is of exceptional architectural and historic significance. There has been a manor house on the Estate since soon after the Norman Conquest, but the core of the present house is a 15th-century oak-beamed residence which had originally a central double-height hall. The house was seized by Henry VIII and given to his cousin and childhood friend Henry Courtenay in 1536.

It’s also the house where TV’s “Ghosts” is filmed!

SUMMER OPEN DAY – Sunday 17th August

Our Open Days are a chance to explore the incredible history of the Manor House and take a wander in the beautiful formal gardens.  The most prestigious rooms in the house will be open for you to enjoy on a free-flow route. There will be expert stewards sharing the remarkable stories of West Horsley Place through the centuries.

Hear My Voice will be displaying in the manor house and gardens during this event. Discover an innovative series of textile art interventions, which tell the stories of women in our history, as you explore the spaces.
