The Museum exists to promote awareness of the United Kingdom’s military aviation heritage and to educate present and future generations. The Museum exhibits the history of aircraft and personnel involved in military aviation with particular reference to RAF Tangmere and its unique place in that part of history. It also serves as a memorial to those allied airmen & airwomen who gave their lives in the service of this country.

The Museum boasts a range of aircraft, areas and exhibits from WW1, WW2, the years between, The Cold War, and even record breaking aircraft! To help with your visit you receive a map pointing out the particular places that are not to be missed, where the audio guide parts are and from what era that particular piece is from. This is all of course alongside the amazing flight simulators, so that you’re able to really experience “flying”.
