Steeped in history, our beautiful 18th-century coaching inn was once a favourite haunt of local smugglers, with contraband regularly making its way ashore in nearby Pagham Harbour. Today, you’ll find a rather more respectable selection behind the bar, including real ales, draught ciders, chilled lagers, premium spirits, an extensive gin collection, and carefully selected wines.

Inside, traditional beams, cosy fireplaces, and character-filled spaces create the perfect setting for a relaxed lunch, family meal, celebration, or catch-up with friends. When the sun is shining, our three outdoor seating areas offer plenty of space to eat, drink, and unwind.

Our kitchen serves a menu packed with quality pub classics and seasonal favourites, all prepared with care and served with a generous helping of hospitality.
